5 Reasons Your Business Needs an App

It’s unavoidable that marketing and business management have gone digital. Is your business still playing catch up with all the advancing technology and new ways to reach and find customers? You may think creating an app is for the bigger businesses, but that isn’t the case. Small businesses can still benefit from having an app. Here’s a few reasons why you need an app for your business.

1) You are in the palm of your customer’s hands.

Quite literally, your customer now has instant access to your business. Almost everyone has a smart phone that can download apps. It’s an excellent way of keeping your company or products on the forefront of your customer’s mind and encouraging your customers to shop more as well.

2) A new way of generating income.

If you offer premium services on the app that the customer must purchase the full app to gain access to, you are increasing your business’ income. Make sure you make it worthwhile for your customers to purchase the app, though. Otherwise you are risking low ratings on app stores and will discourage future and potential customers.

3) You can build incentives for your business.

An app will allow your customers to easily share your services with their social media accounts and anyone else they connect with online. Whether it’s unlocking bonus services, discounts, or money off a future order, incentives are an excellent way of keeping existing customers and finding new ones.

4) Get ahead of the competition.

Take a look at your competition and find out if they have an app suitable for their customers. Can’t find an app? Obviously, this is a way of gaining an advantage and introducing yourself to the online and digital community.

5) Reach your customer wherever they are.

Need to update your customers about new services or an upcoming sale? An app is an excellent way of doing it. People are far more likely to take a look at an alert on their phone than an email you may send, so take advantage of this extra attention by developing an app that improves your communication with your customer base.
